sorry if this is a stupid question but was wondering what "honors" means in a class name? for example some of the classes I see in the Homeschool Pro course catalog:

    8th Grade Honors Algebra
    11th Grade Honors Biology
    12th Grade Honors Physics
    12th Grade Honors Calculus

So what does the "Honors" mean?

Honors classes are more advanced and challenging classes, sometimes even college-level materials. it's for those who are particularly strong in a certain subject and want to progress faster and tackle more challenging materials
